AH i have a ranger/monk, everyone tells me how easy it is to win with a ranger! it is! i think i've only lost once, but i can only get to like 55 secs! and not 50! for the bonus! (i'm trying to complete every bonus before i do the last mission just so finishing the game would actually be finishing the game for me). i was wondering what any other fellow rangers did to beat their copy in under 50

I beat mine in 52. -_-. Just bring spirits and direct damage shots. I think if one of the spirits is winnowing you might be able to win a little faster.

Something else that might help. If you run up to your Mirror it will pull out a Chaos axe and start beating on you, doing substantially less damage than with a bow. I did that and beat my mirror in about 35 seconds.

as soon as the match starts fire away

I killed mine in 23 seconds. Bring these and nothing else. Just leave the last 4 slots empty.

Penatrating Shot
Throw Dust
Barb Trap
Whirling Defense

When you start, run from the mirror. He'll move from his spot. At that point, rush him. Reason being there's a barb trap sitting at his default location, if you dont move him first you will get hit by it.

Once you charge he'd switch to axe and use his whirling defense. Throw dirt at him and lay your barb trap. Now run out of range, he'd switch back to bow.

Hit your whirling defense and start shooting. His defense will be running low. Once it's down, use penetrating and normal shots and it's game over for the mirror.

Penetrating
Power
X Bow attack
X Bow attack
X Bow attack
X Bow attack
(none of the bow attacks should be interrupts)

Start the fight by running up to him, and he will pop Kindle. Do Kindle yourself, and he will switch to axe since you are in melee range. Spam Penetrating and Power. He will hack at you with the axe and since he can't use any of these skills (except Whirling, which he ignores), you will outdamage him.

I did this with 6 Marksmanship(!) and a 12-21 shocking damage bow, and I still killed him in under 50 seconds.

I only bought 4 attacks from an axe with my Warrior and I did it in under 50 seconds against the "Mirror Self", and yes, I recieved no bonus then!

Don't bring any heals. Bring nothing but useless natural rituals and a good damaging attack, and then something (distracting shot) to interupt that damaging attack when he gets around to using it.

I just beat him in 12 seconds with my W/Mo. I took only adren sword skills + Hundred Blades to help charge my adren and no Monk spells at all.

I never got to use Final Thrust at all. Beat him in about that time twice in a row and timed it second time. HEHE. How do you know if you got the bonus? I saw 2 instances of Quest Log Updated: Press "L" blah blah after i beat him

let him cast - favorable winds once
Healing breese - he didn't cast it

add other usless long casting skills to interupt.

I killed my mirror in less than 10 seconds.
